Qualifications: SS1 Level 2 Freediving Instructor, Emergency First Aid Responder, CPR & Oxygen Provider, Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver, BA Hons Sports Journalism.
As a former competitive swimmer and avid scuba diver, the water has always been a place of comfort and escape for me; but it wasn’t until I moved from London to Sydney in 2018, that I discovered freediving. Since then, it has become my world. Having worked as a high school teacher for almost a decade, my life was full of stress and anxiety, and it was discovering freediving that enabled me to find a place of calm amongst the chaos - a place to quiet the noise of the everyday.
Another love of mine is underwater photography. There’s nothing I enjoy more than capturing the beauty of the ocean and its inhabitants. Since buying my first camera in 2021, I have received awards for my work from Photographer of the Year, Australian Photography, Capture Magazine and APA Photo Collective.
